Layered Carving Approach
uses a sanding grinder to strip away layers of plywood, revealing different shades and textures.
The glue between the plywood sheets acts as a natural black outline, enhancing contrast and depth in the final artwork.
By selectively removing material, I create highlights and shadows, giving the image a three-dimensional effect.
Tools & Techniques
Sanding Grinder: The primary tool for controlled material removal.
Chainsaw (for larger projects): Used to rough out shapes before refining details.
Different Plywood Types: experiment with various plywood grades to achieve unique textures.
